8 weeks in...

hey hey everyone. I'm not sure who, if anyone, reads this... but why not? Life here in Cyprus is moving, moving, moving. Except for this morning... I slept in so late that I almost missed breakfast... had my daily cup of coffee though (thankfully)... and have been interneting it since. So today has been relaxed, although normally its tres BUSY! Everyday is jam-packed with things to do and people to see... we're 8 weeks into the lecture phase of the school with only 4 more to go. After Christmas we're off to Jordan (which I am presuming will be a very neat experience), followed by our plane ride to Bombay, India where we will spend the remainder of our outreach phase. I feel so much more prepared for this DTS then my own. My boldness is up... my fear of man down (although far from gone). I am looking forward to the outreach phase very much... and can't wait to do the stuff...

Working at the Waterslides!!!

So for those of you who don't know, this is where I have been working for the summer.... I have stood at the top of each of those slides and have directed the park patrons how to ride; I have stood in the pools at the bottom and yelled at the kids who break rules!! Some days it rains, some days it's sooo hot you can hardly breathe. But yes... I thought a nice visual might help!

In the beginning...

So this is my first post on my first official blog!!! The reason why I have decided to take this step in web-communication is due to the fact that in about 3 months time I will be heading overseas to Cyprus where I will be serving 'longer' term with the organization YWAM. The first 6 months will be spent staffing a Frontier Missions DTS... afterwards I plan to stay on working with YWAM ministries already developed in the nation.

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean; it lies just south of Turkey and sits north west of Israel. Divided into 3 main parts: the Turkish North, the Greek South, and the UK military run border that divides the 2.

Hmm... I will definately have more to say as time goes on and my departure I want to thank you all for checking this site out!
